Eastern Berks Fire and EMS were dispatched at 0148 hours on April 20th for the report of a vehicle fire on Wilt Road in Washington Township. Deputy 97 went on radio, and was advised that the vehicle was near another one and was also located near the garage. Deputy 97 arrived and reported one vehicle fully involved, with extension to the second vehicle; and no extension to the structure.
Engine 97 and 97-1 both hit the road and arrived almost at the same time. Engine 97-1 took the driveway and crews pulled two preconnects and attacked each of the vehicles. One foam line was used , and thermal imaging cameras checked the residual heat.
The original vehicle was a total loss, while the second suffered some damage to the rear. The garage and the nearby home did not suffer any visible damage.
Crews were on scene approximately an hour for overhaul and wrap-up.
