Just prior to 8am Engine 19, Rescue 5, and Medic 565 were dispatched to Longview Road in the area of the Rolling Hills Landfill in Earl Township for an accident with injuries.
Captain 19 responded and was advised of a tractor trailer on its side in the Landfill. Reported patient with leg and head injuries. With updated additional, Captain 19 requested Attack 97 from (Eastern Berks FD) to cover Engine 19 for accessibility into the area.
Captain 19 arrived on scene and advised units of the location and confirmed the report of a tractor trailer on its side and advised that all occupants appeared to be out of the vehicle.
Patient care was immediately started and updates were advised to Medic 565. Upon arrival of the medic truck, the patient was loaded into the ambulance for treatment.
Captain 19 completed the rest of the scene survey and found no significant fuel leaks or hazards. Captain 19 recalled all fires units due to no fire services needed.
The trucking company and business were taking responsibility for clean up and debris.
Captain 19 advised Berks DES of current situation and placed Company 19 available.
