Thanks go out to everyone who signed up and donated blood at our Emergency Blood Drive on Saturday April 4th!
You are our heroes!
The first drive was quickly filled, and Miller-Keystone Blood Bank added a 2nd unit and that was filled.
Fire and EMS personnel, as well as community neighbors donated blood throughout the day long drive. We were even able to supply cloth masks to go over medical masks of the blood drive workers, thanks to the sewing magic of a spouse and a parent of two EBFD members. Way to go!
Miller – Keystone had 40 people registered and collected 37 units of blood.
Eastern Berks Fire and Miller-Kestone originally had scheduled another drive for two weeks from now, but all mobile blood drives have been stopped out of an abundance of caution. Extra staff and hours are now added to the fixed site donation centers around the Lehigh Valley.
Blood is still needed – To schedule an appointment
