Friday night December 27th, a crew from Belfry Fire Department in Eastern Kentucky arrived in Bally to take possession of their new/our old Rescue Truck.
After many years of service our Rescue was sold to the Belfry Volunteer Fire Department. The members from Belfry made the long trip from Kentucky on Friday, leaving with their new Rescue Saturday morning.
Rescue 97 is a 1986/2007 Saulsbury/Freightliner, in 2007 the Rescue was rechassised with the 2007 Freightliner to better serve the area.
Rescue 97 will be replaced with a 2015 Spartan, equipped with a 2000 gpm Hale pump and 500 gallons of water and 50 gallons of foam. We expect to take delivery next week after it’s done lettering.
We wish the firefighters at BVFD Godspeed on their drive home and many years of service.
